Client Challenges

A DC client required a new 33 kV primary substation connection with on site electrical works for a new Data Centre development in London.  Planning modifications and liaison with the DNO (UKPN) required effective and efficient stakeholder management from the client and H&MV Engineering.

H&MV Solution

  • H&MV Engineering were responsible for the design, supply and installation of Electrical and Civil works for the 33 kV substation, 11 kV modular switchgear building as well as the substation compound, including the access road, security, and fencing.
  • Cabling works and Grid route for the Data Centre, from the 33 kV POC to the substation boundary in order to future proof the development for further growth which will be utilised by the client.
  • Procurement of all cabling, electrical plant and equipment to make the connections as per the H&MV design and approved by UKPN
