- SCS Design and installation in line with EirGrid’s contestable design standards
- Design & build of the double circuit cable route of approx. 2.1 km along public roads
Project Scope
- Project management and commissioning of a new GIS 110 kV Substation
- Civil and electrical design and build of 12 no. of 110 kV bays connecting to the transmission system, current transformers, voltage transformers, 50 / 63 MVA transformers, capacitive indicators and circuit breakers. Design and installation of the 110 kV Cable route
- Detailed secondary design
- The 12 bay 110 kV GIS contained, 4 no. transformer bays, 2 no. grid cable bays, 2 no. spare bays, 2 no. sectionalisers and 2 no. coupler bays
- Adherence to all the client’s procedures and protocols regarding security and confidentiality
- Liaison with the client, client owner’s engineer, local authorities and EirGrid
- Responsible for earthing studies and earthing designs, and main and check metering
- Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) of all HV equipment
- Produce a complete set of civil and electrical as-built drawings and Safety Handover file
- Responsible for issuing the Integrated Test Plans (ITPs), Construction Management Plans, Quality Plans, Safety Management Plan and Temporary Works Register
- Daily Toolbox Talks, weekly progress and safety meetings, issue and risk management along with monthly status reporting
