Training and development of our personnel takes high priority in H&MV Engineering and we continue to promote the career development of our employees through investment in training, mentoring and further education. Currently, one staff member is enrolled in the new Level 7 Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial Electrical Engineering  at Limerick Institute of Technology. Upon successful completion of this new tailored degree course it leads to the award of a Level 7 Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng) Degree. The course is specifically designed as a progression programme for Qualified Electricians who wish to upskill and to acquire advanced knowledge, competences and skills to progress into engineering roles in Industry.

Employer driven, this two year programme was developed in collaboration with the Electrical, Engineering, Automation and Manufacturing Sectors who have identified a need for qualified personnel to address the skills gaps in these sectors. H&MV Engineering have been involved in the steering group throughout the development of this programme and are confident it will develop the skills of our employees in becoming a ‘Trade Qualified’ Engineer.

This two year programme is aimed at our High Voltage Electricians that have completed the SOLAS apprenticeship and our very own inhouse apprenticeship development programme to allow our employees further their education and career prospects with H&MV.
