H&MV Engineering are delighted to have been involved in the delivery of the Lightsource Renewable Energy major solar development in County Antrim. This project is delivering over 32 MWp of clean, renewable energy into the Northern Ireland energy grid. The County Antrim project will create enough energy to power more than 11,000 homes.

H&MV delivered the Electrical and Civil scope of works on the project for Lightsource. This included a 33KV NIE substation along with the civil design, installation, jointing and commissioning of the 19km gridline to link all five solar sites.  The projects are located at Lough Road, Moira Road, Belfast Road (Nutts Corner), Knockcairn and Hillside and are each between 5 and 10 MWp.

Separately, H&MV worked with the EPC contractor Biosar on the project, commissioning the equipment on the solar sites. H&MV have developed a strong working relationship on this project with Biosar, who are a leading contractor in the solar farm industry worldwide.
